Via dei Milleri Prosecco DOC - $14.99
In Italy, Prosecco is a common offering at the many metropolitan coffee shops, both as a midday refreshment and appetizer before a meal. Much like Champagne, the carbonation helps wake up the stomach, without the heavier sweetness of a soda. That also makes it a great starter for evening summer gatherings and afternoon brunches, whether as a “stand-alone” sparkler or as a wonderful base for Mimosa or Bellini cocktails. Unlike Champagne, Prosecco is naturally fermented in large containers in a traditional process known as the Charmat Method, which leaves the fermenting grapes in less contact with the yeast, imparting less of that yeasty flavor to the finished product.Via dei Milleri Prosecco offers a delicate pear essence in the mid-palate, with some delicious crisp white peach notes; maybe just a hint of yeast, but not enough to disturb the clean flavor profile. Amalaya Torrontes White Blend - $10.99
One of the more recent acquisitions of the Hess Family Collection, the Amalaya Winery in Argentina is situated in the northwest of  Argentina at just over a mile high in elevation. Higher elevation means that grapes are closer to the sun, promoting thicker skins to protect the fruit from too much exposure...thicker skins deliver more flavor. The mostly sandy and pebbly soil holds on to little water, stressing the vines so their roots are forced to pull more mineral essence from that ground, another flavor-enhancing trait. Torrontes is a traditional Argentinian white grape that produces wine with the dry character of Pinot Grigio, but the flavor complexity of Viognier. Amalaya's version features a 15% blending of Riesling to balance its great structural acidity. A delicate orange blossom aromatic leads to melon and tangerine flavors on the palate, with a small dose of apple-like acidity to finish clean and highlight the essence of mineral notes. This is perfect for your picnic or deck gathering, whether you're looking to quench your thirst or compliment Grilled Mahi-Mahi, Ceviche, or Gazpacho Soup.

St. Francis White Splash - $13.99
The White Splash is mostly Gewurztraminer, Muscat, and Malvasia, but don't worry about it being too sweet because the Pinot Grigio blended into it really helps crisp it up with a nice bit of citrus. The other dry grapes in the blend also do a great job of balancing the fruitier varietals: Rousanne adds nice body, and the Marsanne really enriches the mouth feel to a creamy texture on the tongue. Whether you have food or not, the versatile White Splash will have you savoring it's delicious melange of summer white-fruit flavors or enhance any covered dish that shows  up at your next backyard pot luck!

St. Francis Red Splash - $13.99
The Red Splash begs for a big spicy sweet barbeque sauce that's been basted over some chops or ribs. It is ready to drink as soon as you pop its bright red cork, offering a nice dose of spice and tobacco on the nose, licorice and black currant in the mid-palate, and a teasing chocolate nuance on  the finish, with just a bit of red raspberry nuance to finish with some structuring “zing”. The Red Splash is made from 8 grape varietals, including Zinfandel, Syrah, and Cab Franc, to name just a few.  It is truly the result of great winemaking and the blending of great fruit, offering the best expression of all of its individual parts. Cocktail Cocktail: Tequila Sunrise


Tequila Sunrise
• 1 ½ oz. Tres Agaves Blanco Tequila
• 5 oz. Orange juice
• 1/4 oz. Grenadine

Directions:
Fill a highball glass with ice and Tres Agaves Blanco Tequila. Fill with 5 oz. of orange juice and pour the grenadine down through the juice.

National Daiquiri Day! Cocktail Country: Hemingway Daiquiri


Hemingway Daiquiri
• 1.5 oz 10 Cane Rum
• .5 oz Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur
• 1 oz Fresh grapefruit juice
• .5 oz Fresh lime juice
• .5 oz Simple syrup

Add all the ingredients to a shaker and fill with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a lime wheel and black cherry on a skewer.

Cocktail Country: Drink for Summer featuring Campari


Ingredients
• 3/4 oz Campari
• 3/4 oz Sweet Vermouth
• 3/4 oz Gin (or Vodka)
• orange slice for garnish

Directions
Pour the ingredients into an old-fashioned glass. Stir well. Garnish with the orange slice. Serve on ice.
